MAT Proficient Recovery Housing
This curriculum helps recovery residence providers adapt their program, polices and procedures in order to support persons seeking recovery who are undergoing medication assisted treatment. It consists of both self-paced courses and virtual learning community, where participants can share challenges and solutions. Pre-request: Recovery housing experience and a commit to support persons on medication assisted treatment.

- Medication Assisted Recovery Service Plan – Given your priority population, what support services do you need to provide as a part of your recovery residence program and what support services in the local community can serve as key partners.
- Transition Plans – Change creates stress, which increases the risk of using substances.
This course offers an introduction and overview of recovery residences in the United State. Recovery residences are sober, safe and peer support living environments that promote recovery from substance use and co-occurring issues.

Recovery literacy is the degree to which individuals have “the capacity to obtain, process, and understand basic information, supports and services needed to make appropriate decisions in support of recovery”. Recovery literacy helps you support recovery for yourself and for others, and the aim of a recovery-oriented program should be to instill the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to develop and maintain a recovery lifestyle.
