OKARR Certification Fees and Overview

The Oklahoma Alliance for Recovery Resources (OKARR) serves as the state affiliate of the National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR) and is responsible for maintaining certification standards for Recovery Residences and Recovery Community Organizations (RCOs) across Oklahoma. Certification demonstrates a provider’s commitment to quality, safety, ethical operations, and person-centered recovery support.

Recovery Residences

Certification through OKARR ensures alignment with the NARR Quality Standards and Oklahoma’s best practices for recovery housing. Certified operators demonstrate accountability through safe, supportive environments, resident empowerment, and community integration.

Fee Structure:

  • Certification Fee:
    • $600 flat fee for organizations housing 100 or fewer residents
    • $800 flat fee for organizations housing more than 100 residents
  • Application Fee (new operators): $275
    • Covers administrative costs for initial review, inspection, and verification of compliance.
  • Annual Renewal Fee: $250
    • Required each year to maintain certification status and verify ongoing compliance with OKARR and NARR standards.

Certification is valid for one year from the date of approval. Renewal applications must be submitted before the expiration date to avoid a lapse in certification.

Recovery Community Organizations (RCOs)

RCO certification validates that an organization meets national quality benchmarks for peer-led recovery support and community engagement. Certified RCOs uphold ethical governance, inclusive practices, and transparent service delivery.

Fee Structure:

  • One-Time Application Fee: $500
    • Includes review of governance, mission, and operational standards.
  • Annual Renewal Fee: $300
    • Ensures continued compliance with RCO quality standards and supports technical assistance and ongoing oversight.

Additional Information

All certification fees are non-refundable and must be submitted at the time of application or renewal. Certification supports OKARR’s mission to uphold high standards in recovery services, promote consistency across the state, and strengthen trust among residents, families, and community partners.
